Ever feel like you are stuck on negative?

I have been feeling like this recently. I am always a little more anxious around this time of the year. I am not sure if it is the dark nights or a lack of vitamin D but something always feels a little off. To be completely honest, I have been feeling pretty fed up! Ever heard of the phrase ‘Live in the present’? Well that is my aim to try and stop this negative cycle I seem to be in.

This challenge is my way of kicking myself in the butt! I am setting myself this challenge with the aim that by the time the Christmas Day comes around, I am present, positive, motivated and ready to enjoy the day with my family.

I have incorporated tasks and actions that I know will help to make me feel more present each day and that will encourage me to be grateful for all I have. I know, from experience, when I live in the present and I choose to be grateful, I am a happier person.

So many of us search for happiness but I truly believe that if we are grateful for all we have, we are happy. That’s logical right? Being grateful seems simple and it is but like most things, it is not easy. I am still training (yep just like exercise) to encourage positive thinking rather than default to negative.

We are encouraged from such a young age to think negatively as it is more realistic but is it really? In ‘Feel the Fear and do it anyway’ by Susan Jeffers, she talks about how 90% of things we are worried about never happen and she challenges us to think positively, as it is just as realistic as thinking negatively. So what are we waiting for??

So here it is

The pumpkin muffins I talk about here are from the Betty Rocker’s website and they are filled with goodness as well as being tasty.

Please join me and feel free to comment on how you are doing. You may need to change some of the days around or adapt them to your circumstances which is absolutely fine. Make it your own! OWN it!

Keep me posted and I will let you know how I get on

Much love
